This macbook pro was brought in by the friend of the friend, because it had a cracked lcd screen. However it was not the only issue with it.Even though the lcd screen was cracked, larger portion of the screen was still usable and visible at first, but then it turned white and no matter how many times customer restarted computer it remained white.
White screen on macbooks means couple of things. There could be hardware issue or like in our case there was a problem with the video cable. it was either disconnected or not connected properly and after we took it apart cable was reconnected the new and shiny replacement lcd screen on this macbook pro a1181 was working perfectly! great success!
