The customer who brought this spilled a glass of wine on their laptop and surprisingly it was still working after it was shut off and let dry out for a while.

There were a few problems however. the mouse pad was working incorrectly and the buttons were getting stuck. so we had to open it up and simply clean everything in it from the wine stains. it was an interesting job and it turned out very well. laptop fired up and worked perfectly. but I tell you wine was everywhere. it was under ribbon cables, on chips and capacitors.

it really depends on your luck. In this case the person was visiting here from France. Yes the place where people speak funny he was here for a business trip and has dropped his ipad 2. the damage was interesting the top glass or digitizer cracked, but not very significantly. Only around the home button area. And it prevented the home button from working correctly. So the person took the home button out and pushed the actual on/off button on the assembly itself. it worked, but was not esthetically looking at all.

The prior story was customer acquired tdss redirection virus on his computer and tried to clean it many different ways. After he was done with it, computer restarted, but didn’t go any further than restarting upon loading windows screen. it would get a blue screen of death and restart immediately.

Our client called us saying she has dropped her ipad 2 on the tile floor and has cracked her digitizer glass. She also said her ipad 2 lcd screen was damaged. it was producing images, however it was dark, which meant there was no backlight or backlight was not lighting up.

We proceeded with repair, we removed the glass digitizer and replaced the lcd screen with the new one, however there was still no backlight and screen was showing things but was dark. In some cases a complete shut down of the ipad 2 helps (power off). But in this case it was more than that. Apparently from the hard hit to the floor, something in the logic board has failed and we could not fix it. We had to return the ipad 2 to the customer.

there are many reasons this happens. the most surface reason this may happen is because of little hard disk errors in the boot record or in the file system itself. they can be fixed with chkdsk or with few boot record fix commands.

Windows xp also tends to crash more heavily due to registry problems and in that case it can be repaired or reinstalled completely.

In the worst case scenario, so to speak, windows in all cases crashes, when the hard drive starts getting bad sectors or crashes completely and system files needed to run windows can not be read from it. I have discussed in earlier post the usual problem they are having with these ultra mega gaming laptops, that can hold up to 30GB of RAM memory. They are truly super nice machines, however with one little defect.

The charger that plugs inside computer fits on the tip of the dc jack very tightly and as result happens to be not practical at all. Even though people are careful with them, occasionally they still pull the wire or trip over it and when it happens, the tightly positioned tip of the jack simply snaps and stays inside the tip of the power adapter.
