If you look closely at the motherboard of this Sony Vaio laptop. you will see little red spots all over the board and many electrical components on the motherboard.
The customer who brought this spilled a glass of wine on their laptop and surprisingly it was still working after it was shut off and let dry out for a while.
There were a few problems however. the mouse pad was working incorrectly and the buttons were getting stuck. so we had to open it up and simply clean everything in it from the wine stains. it was an interesting job and it turned out very well. laptop fired up and worked perfectly. but I tell you wine was everywhere. it was under ribbon cables, on chips and capacitors.
So the list of fluids not to spill on your laptops are – any fluids! do not do it! you might not be lucky as this client was!
